Christian Schiffer was born in 1979 and grew up in Munich where later studied economic and social geography at the Ludwig Maximilian University as well as political science at the Bavarian School of Public Policy. After working for different media he joined the scene magazine “Zündfunk” of Bayerischer Rundfunk where he worked as a an editor and columnist. He has moreover written features for different ARD-broadcasters and presented the show “Netzfilter” on PULS, the young program of Bayerischer Rundfunk. For his radio feature “Under the screen of night – An expedition into the Darknet” he received the Prix Marulić. His interests include politics, pop culture and digital media. In 2016 he explored the debate on violent video games in a number of TV-documentaries for ZDF, which later received a nomination for the Grimme award.
