Jasmin Tabatabai was born in 1967 in Teheran. Her father is Iranian, her mother from Germany. Till 1979 the family lived in Teheran. During the Islamic Revolution, her mother left the country with her four children. After her high school diploma in 1986, Jasmin Tabatabei studied music and acting at University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. Today the actress and musician lives in Berlin.
